I have a lot of hobbies: reading, writing poems and short stories, crosstitch, solving puzzles, listening to music, singing, playing board games, drawing, and a lot more which I can't remember at the moment. lol Anyway, it's rather unfortunate that I don't get to do these as often as I would want to because I don't have the luxury of time to engage myself in my hobbies. I really would like to have some of my compositions published but unfortunately, the local publishing company rejected it once I tried submitting a romance novel to them. I have to admit that I've never tried writing a book with a topic outside romance mainly because I feel that I don't have enough knowledge about diverse topics to discuss. But if I would be given the opportunity and precious time to write a book which will ultimately become a bestseller, here are some of the topics I have in mind: 1. Clashes - Subject would be man and woman's differences in thinking and behavior and the proposed solutions so that the two genders would be able to meet halfway. 2. Rich and mean - Highlighting the behavior of a diligent ant during tough and gay times, and comparing this with man's ways during these same time, also offering some lessons on how to be rich 3. Winds of Change - Memoirs of an aged grandmother who has lived during the Japanese occupation in the Philippines; indicating the similarities and diversities which she observes during her times and this computer age. Well I guess these will be all for now. I couldn't think of other topics at the moment. But I'm really looking forward to be an author or writer. Honestly, writing was my first love.

That sounds like a wonderful book to write. There is just so much truth and realism . I Prefer non fiction because its real and about what people have had to experience and what they still want to experience. APPRECIATE YOUR RESPONSE AND HAPPY MYLOTTING!

I suddenly thought of writing about my first love, too. It would have a title of "My First Love", but apart from other romance novels, it wouldn't tackle about love per se. Instead, it is a compilation of my dreams and goals in life, with writing as the highlight of the story. Just felt I had to add this.

I would write about my real life story, just change the characters and places. My topics are: my childhood, teen age life, lovelife, tragedies, family, and my present life hehehehe. I had given a try to write it but I am too weak emotionally because I ended up crying and my papers were wet of my tears. When those scense flashed in my mind as I was trying to recall my past. Maybe only 10 per cent of my life I could say that I was happy, but fortunately I am still alive! Ooopppss I might start too sentimental lol!

I believe that peoples real lifes are more interesting then any fiction will ever be. I think there would be more best sellers if we just wrote the truths about it all.Appreciate your response and Happy Mylotting!

Years ago I was lucky enough to get with a long time idol of mine many years after I first became a fan, and I actually wrote my little story down and told my friend if anything ever happened to me I wanted him to have the story of my dream come true..but unfortunately he passed away 18 months after my dream come true actually started so I created a webpage as a tribute to him and his music instead...I think creating something on the web can do well but maybe not as financially as good as a book...

My own life story would be a good start to write, like an autobiography thing but maybe change some names of the characters and places. I believe each of us has a unique journey in our own, and thinking of good twist is much easier since you wouldn't be using too much exaggerated situations. Long ago, I used to keep a diary and journals of my activities, perhaps its a good start for me to look for it if I have to dig an event, and photos too would be very useful. I can't think though for a title, and nah, I am not giving it a try, sorry. hehe

We are on the same page with that. I agree each life is so special and also has its unique path through life. That makes every story just fascinating. Diaries and Journals are wonderful and help us not loose details on those special moments!
