Hi Sumi, I read somewhere that chocolates will make you feel happier. I haven't tried this, so I'm not sure.
When I'm depressed, I'd like to be alone - go online, watch TV or just go window shopping by myself. I've also tried being with friends and just hang around with them, joining in their jokes and conversation - it did help for a while!
I think the most important thing is to understand what had caused our sadness and depression, and try to do something about that.

When I get depressed I will either eat or sleep, which ever is easier to do at the time. I don't get depressed that often. Sometimes I just need a good cry then I'm ok. My husband really helps my depression bouts. He just tells me something funny or picks on me till I'm laughing my guts out. Chocolate does have something in it though that releases serotonin which makes us happy.
