Unfortunately I would have to agree, but till certain extent. It all depends in which country you are. I would take for example the two countries I know most about - the country where I was born, Macedonia, and the country where I study, Greece. For the four years that I have spent in Greece I have noticed that the two fields where the demand is rising are networks and telecommunications. In recent research I found out that my household has more computer equipment than half of the companies in Greece. Which is a bit weird since Greece is considered to be far from a poor or underdeveloped country, it is in the European Union and therefore qualifies for such programs where its residents can apply for free computers and financial support for starting a business or a project.
On the contrary, in Macedonia, since few years ago almost all fields are rising. Not only networks and telecommunications, but also other fields such as software engineering and multimedia. IT experts are highly on demand and there is still lack of them. And unlike Greece, Macedonia is considered a poor country, does not enjoy the euro currency, nor any benefits that the EU brings. Maybe this serves as a motivation for the increasing improvement.
