Does Google Pay for Page Impressions?

I have been blogging for sometime now and I have had so many page impressions and have not seen the money for page impression in my account with google. Do they really pay for page impressions? Though traffic is high and encouraging with lots of impressions, that is why I want to know so that I can do more on the blogs. One of the links is in my profile. Please details are needed.
