Ever lived with an untidy hoarder?

The guy who used to live in my house was a notorious freetarian, he believed in living out of bins. He would gather all sorts of "useful stuff", which was supposed to get "done up" and sold on a car boot sale (that might be rag market in US). Except it hardly ever got done, and things were left cluttering up the inside and outside of the house. He never put tools away, his excuse "why put them away if Im gonna use them again soon" - usually three or four days later. I got him to leave last Saturday and am still tidying up and throwing things away. Is used to drive me to despair. Anyone else ever lived with anyone like that?

At least thats the last thing that you would have to put up about him.
To answer your question no, I have not lived with someone like that unless you count me because I do leave things where I put them and I dont put them away because Im going to use them, but not after 3 days. Maybe a day or two, depends on the item. I dont think Im bothering anyone because I dont have a roommate and I only usually do that in my room but when I have guests and am living in other peoples houses I respect my hosts.
