Ratings:Has anyone else noticed their rating fluctuate?

I have been thinking and I decided to post a discussion and ask all of my fellow mylotters out there Have you noticed your rating fluctuate up and down?Has it fluctuated enough to go from one color star to the color star below(for example go from a blue star down to a red star)?How many points has your rating gone down?Why do you think your rating has fluctuated? How do you feel about the rating trolls on here?The reason I started this discussion is because I personally have noticed over the past several weeks my rating will go up and then down and then back up and I am not sure who or why I am getting rated negatively because I always try to do the best discussions and responses I can,I was up at a 96 blue star and then I dropped down to a 93 red star then just recently I got back to a 96 blue star and now I am back down to a 95 red star and the change is both frustrating and a big spirit breaker,I have been talking to my fiance about it and she thinks that it has something to do with the trolls on mylot,but I am not sure why they like rating me negatively,My fiance also thinks that the rating trolls are a bit immature and I do have to agree as there should be no reason to rate people negatively unless they have out right violated mylot's guidelines,I would also like to ask all of the people on my friends list as well as those who are not on my friends list for suggestions on how to be a better mylotter as indefinitely my skills are not enough for those who feel like they should rate me negatively,I will appreciate all responses I get to this discussion,and I ask that just like with all the other discussions I do on here,please treat this discussion with the utmost seriousness,and give me honest straight forward answers for me to read ,I promise that for every response I get I will leave a comment that matches both the responses length and quality,and I feel it is my duty to respond to every response I get,I look forward to all the responses I get on this discussion and all my other discussions,have a great day.

I have had my star changing colours very often. From rank 8 it went to 9 then in one day to 10 and after acouple of days back to 9. Now it is back on ten and stuck for some time. I do not bother about the ratings at all. I dont think you should be getting frustrated about this because the old timers here would tell you that this has been happening all along and nobody knows the exact reason for this. I am not too sure about these trolls on mylot.

I am sorry to hear that you have had your star changing very often my friend,but I am happy that you made it to a blue star and that you have stuck there for a while now, and it is probably a good thing not to worry about the ratings,and I probably should not be frustrated,and I am sure that the veterans on mylot would tell me it has been happening for a long time,and I am not so sure about the trolls either,I just wish there was a way to stop them,thanks for responding,have a great day,good luck in your life,and Happy Posting.

I am sorry to hear that the trolls have attacked you too,and that your rating went down from a 97 to a 63,and I am sorry that you went from a blue star down to a pink star,and it appears you are slowly making your way back up,and I have faith that you will make it back to a blue star again as long as you have hope and keep trying,and I will help you by rating you positive whenever I see you,thanks for responding,have a great day,good luck in your life,and Happy Posting.

Not in recent months. Before that, my rating was a rollercoaster. Now because of all the gross abuse, the rating doesn't improve. Or really, it improves at an incredibly slow rate. I've ranted plenty on the subject, but in the end no one really cares (unless its someone who went from 10 to 9... then they briefly care or give it a passing glance). Well, that's my peace on it.

I am glad that you have not suffered from it in the recent months,but I can understand what you mean by it being like a rollercoaster and yeah there is a lot of abuse on mylot,and it does seem to improve at a slow rate,and I understand that no one really cares in the end,thank you for responding,have a great day,good luck in your life,and Happy Posting.

Hi Hellcowboy, I have not experience that yet and I don't think about it much as whenever I response to anyone I do it out to share my opinion and give my best of what I know.
And I think you don't have to give any response/comments or even post any discussions just to please anybody
Just be yourself, give your honest opinion the best you can and have fun. They will always be people who are envious or jealous in some way for whatever nonsense reasons. It is better to spend your time and focus on those who appreciate your views and wanting your opinions than you get upset about the troll or anyone else, who most probably did it out of jealousy.
I believe whatever style any mylotters have in presenting their postings are their penmanships and individualized. It wouldn't be fair to be rated negative just like you have said unless a violation of guidelines have been made.
Anyway don't let them spoil your fun

I am glad that you have not experienced it yet,and I am glad you do not think about it much,and I am glad that when you respond to someone you do it to share you opinion and give the best of what you know,and you are right I do not have to do anything on mylot just to please anyone,and you are right I have to just be myself and give my honest opinions,and that it true it is better to focus on the ones who appreciate me and less on the ones like the trolls who probably do it because they are jealous,and yeah it would not be fair to rate someone negatively unless they have broken the guidelines in one way or another,and I will not let them spoil my fun,thanks for responding,have a great day,good luck in your life,and Happy Posting my friend.

Yesterday I got my star, and it started in "6"..
Actually, it's "7", and I got very surprised about that!

About my discussions, I still don't think I'm good with those, 'cause my discussions just reach barely 6 to 10 comments.. =/

no my friend there is another discussion one that I started a good while before making this one about earning and gaining or losing money,I do not remember what it was called but I do remember that it was under mylot for the interest,thanks for responding,have a great day,good luck in your life,and Happy Posting.
