Do you think cigaretes should be really banned from airing as ad or commercial?

Just wanna asked. Because here in the Philippines we started to banned all cigaretes from airing as a commericial whether tv or radio also from print ads and from sponsoring concerts. Yeah i think it is just fair to do that, no offensement to those who are smoking just that it feels like we couldnt really get anything from it but harm ourselves so why bother? i mean if it is less seen by the public eye then the cravings for it will gonna fade. After all it is bad for us people and to earth also right ????
