Internet and its various faces

The internet has come to stay and it has become part of our lives. And just like any other innovations, it has its own plus and minus. I came across a term recently and was intrigued by it so I read more about it. The term is “CYBER BULLYING”. This I understand is part of other forms of bullying and is even considered to be more powerful as it reaches into the homes and personal space, thus making it difficult to control or stop, when compared to face to face bullying and what more, it affects teenagers more. There have bee increased reports of teens that have become depressed and suicidal as a result of this cyber trend. It can take the form of verbal abuse or threats which tend to have a negative effect on these kids. What in your opinion can be done to reduce or control this dangerous trend before it gets out of hand ,considering that everyone now have unlimited access to the internet through the computer and cellular phones? “Cyber bullying is the use of technology such as the internet and cellular phones to deliberately hurt, upset, undermine or verbally abuse someone else”
