What do you prefer, the beach or a swimming pool?

I honestly love the beach, the sand, small waves and the sun. But if I have to choose between the two, I'd rather go for a swimming pool. I enjoy the beach, but I'm concerned and actually afraid of the current that beaches possess from time to time. I don't wanna be pulled on deep water, because I'm not a good swimmer. So I prefer the pool, mainly because you know too well just how deep it is. No current. Just plain safe and calm. No current, no other creatures and most importantly very much predictable.

My favorite sort of beach is a tropical one with white sand, palm trees and a warm sea to enjoy swimming in. Snorkeling around a colorful coral reef is one of my favorite activities. I like to meet friendly and pretty tropical fish, sting rays, turtles and small sharks. I have the most wonderful time when the ocean is calm and get scared when the waves are rough. In a strong current I suggest going in a semi circle instead of going against the tide. I am not a strong or a fast swimmer but with snorkeling equipment on I am likely to stay quite safe. I like a swimming pool that is warm not some of the cool ones that I go in here in my home country.
