This may not be the appropriate category to put this in, but I know many of you do sell or buy on E Bay.
I keep getting these e mails saying "Unpaid Item Dispute. Immediate Response Required."
Since I'm not an E Bay seller and haven't bought anything from e bay in quite a while I've just ignored them. And of course there's the name of the buyer, who is not familiar to me and the fact they're coming through a email account not registered with E Bay. Fortunately my e mail client tags them possible phishing scam, and throws them in the junk file.
As with the Pay Pal and Bank of America scams, NEVER click on a link in one of these e mails. Go directly to your account and sign in. As with Pay Pal and Bank of America scams, you'll probably find there is absolutely nothing wrong with your account.
If you click on that link, it lets the phisher know that account is active and may give them access to your computer. Be safe and Happy MyLotting!

I hate those phising emails. I get them all the time, but the unpaid item must be new. I haven't had to deal with that one yet. I get them from both ebay and paypal and usually forward them to paypal or ebay. It is amazing how cruel people are getting in this identity theft and stealing. It isn't safe to do anything anymore.

The unpaid item dispute is the only type I've got saying it's from E bay, but I've gotten several with different names and different transaction numbers on them.

I always get a chuckle from those thing. I have been getting a lot of Paypal ones lately. I always think it funny when I get ones for banks that I have never heard of or never banked with.

You are right ,i recieved a message of this kind sometimes ago informing me that i bought some designer's bag and it has been posted to me,they used the name of my formal Company, and my present address,so i was confused as i was not even in the Country as at that time,it really bothered me.Although when i opened my account with ebay nothing like such was found.

Hi, Bead. I haven't gotten one of them in a while, although I still get a few PayPal phish. Forward them to spoof@ebay.com and spoof@paypal.com. That way, they have the header information (if your email client is set to provide full headers) to trace where they came from. I did that extensively for a while and the number did reduce after a while. I'm not sure if there was a cause and effect between them, but I do know they pursue these people when they can.
Also, on the off-chance that someone has hacked into your ebay account, it's probably best to forward them. Then they can tell you if they're phish-mail or real activity from your account, even if you haven't used it. A comparison of IP addresses should tell them you didn't.
But, that last thing is fairly rare. The Phishing is far more common. Enjoy!!!

This is a great reminder to everyone at the same time informative to new ones. glad you posted such.
It's our responsibility to take care of our private info and also our responsibility to get info about scams and other things that may affect us in the future. giving others a warning from those who already experienced such "email" or "scam issue" is a great act of consideration and concerns to others.
Keep it up!
