Ever notice how baby and toddler books leave out the messy part of parenting. Food on the face, floor, walls, hair, and anywhere else their little hands can reach. I am a young mother, my son is almost 2 and I am almost 22. But I was never really into baby books until he was born. Now I get the books more for referenc then anything else. Like, if he gets sick, how sick should he be before I take him to the doctor. Things like that. I did look into meal time and dining out, of course these books don't tell you it is going to happen or how to deal with it when it does. New moms are out of luck.

*GIGGLES* No the books don't really help with the everyday stuff do they! I'm on my 6th and still can't decide if it's easier to strip him down to his diaper to eat or keep his clothes on. If I take his clothes off I end up having to clean spaghetti sauce out of his belly button and noodles from places noodles do not belong lol. If I leave clothes on him...I pretty much only have to wipe off his hands, face, ears, hair, and under his chin...but I have a pile of messy clothes to pretrest and wash. But they are just so cute at that age it's all worth it!
