I love gadgets. Yes, I admit it. I'm hooked on anything new and fascinating. The only problem is that I usually jump into buying one when they first come out on the market. If I would learn to wait a little while, the price always comes down. Therefore I end up paying a premium price. I think my favorite gadget at this time is my Tom Tom GPS. I find myself using it going to places I've been a thousand times. Ridiculous isn't it? What's your favorite gadget?

well, the gadget that has awed me is MOBILE phone. the TELEPHONE itself is an awe inspiring and thrilling gadget.. but, I have been used to seing it daily, during my childhood, as I was involved in some science projects of my school. But, after learning that sound could be converted into pulses and signals.. and transmitted through electric sort of wire.. and, then you hear that it could be WIRELESS... without your need to push a button. and that it is two-way, unlike the police walkie-talkie.. I just could not believe.
I was one of the first people, here in INDIA.. to own a mobile. And, my awe is still there, for this peculiar gadget.
thankyou.

Thanks for the response, consultrainer. I agree with you. The mobilephone (or cell phone in the USA), is an awe-inspring gadget. But if you remember, the car phone was one of the first cell phones, but they didn't last that long. I used to think, WOW! Imagine talking and driving too. So I bought one. I thought I was big stuff until I needed to have it repaired. I couldn't find anyone who knew anything about them. That's when I knew I was behind the times and ended up with my first cell phone. Since then, the blue tooth is also a remarkable gadget. Especially the no-hands type where you never even have to touch the phone at all. It is especially useful when fishing. Now I don't even have to put my rod down to answer the phone. Isn't technology wonderful?
