Fernando Torres believes his partnership with Robbie Keane can help Liverpool win the Premier League. Torres linked up with Keane for the first time since his £20 million move from Tottenham Hotspur in 4-0 win over Rangers on Saturday in a pre-season friendly. The forward pair formed an instant rapport and Torres was impressed by his new team-mate's contribution. "He's a fantastic player," he said. "I hope he can score a lot of goals and that I can play alongside him many times. "We've only been training together for a few days so it's not a lot of time, but the important thing for me is that he is always talking during games. "The understanding between us and Steven Gerrard is important as well. He is the midfielder who is passing the ball to myself and Robbie and so the more training we do, the more good things we can do for Liverpool." Torres, who joined Liverpool's pre-season late after taking part in Spain's successful Euro 2008 campaign, scored his first goal of pre-season at Ibrox. "It was perfect to score my first goal because that's always important for strikers. I've only been training for one week and so it's understandable to feel tired," he said. "The idea is to arrive fit and ready for the start of the season. "It was a fantastic summer for Spain but now my thoughts are with Liverpool. Hopefully, we will win a trophy. I want to win the Premier League or the Champions League."
