If you graduated from college, are you still working in that field today?

Many people graduate college and then never use their degree. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Education and I am using it today as a 7th grade Language Arts teache

I graduated from college with a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice. Currently I work as a telecommunications specialist for a sheriff's office. That means I answer the 911 lines ringing in and then also dispatch calls to my officers. It is within the field of Criminal Justice but it's not ultimately what I want to do. I want to eventually get involved with crime scene investigation which will definitely put my degree to good use so hopefully in about a year (once my contract is up for the communications center) I can transfer over to that. :o) I think there are A LOT of people that have degrees but are working in a complete opposite direction then what it is for. I see nothing wrong with that as long as they enjoy their job and enjoying going to work everyday. A lot of places don't even care the type of degree you have, they just want to see that form of secondary education and they're happy.

I agree. I think most people go to college and don't know exactly what they want to do with their careers and don't find out until after they have a degree. I only wanted to be a teacher at first so I could coach. I have been teaching for five year and am just now coaching, lol

I completed a bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy. Many fields are related to it. You can go into Psychiatry, Physical Dysfunction or Pediatrics. You can go school-based or hospital based. I chose to teach children with special needs. so yeah, i guess i worked in a field related to my bachelors degree. however, that was several yrs ago. now, im having a PhD in WIFEYhood. and im loving it =)
