My favorite world leaders are Mahatma Ghandi, Nelson Mandela, Dalai Lama and Yitzak Rabin. Both Ghandi and Rabin were assassinated by their own people - Ghandi because he confronted the invaders of his country with non-violence and Rabin because of his genuine commitment for peace amongst conflicting groups within his country. Nelson Mandela suffered in prison for years but stood his ground and did not cave in because he had the courage to stand against Aparthied in his country - and he prevailed in the end. In spite of the occupation of his country, the Dalai Lama does incite ciolence against the occupiers but spread the message of peace around the world to win support from other nations to persuade the occupiers to free his country from their occupation. I think everyone take a cue from these truely great leaders to promote peace and harmony in this current world that's full of conflict.
