You asked a tough question. Why did not you answered your own question? I guess you don't have one.

I can say that people can not understand themselves. If they really could then there would not be a world like this. The world would have been much better.

It seems understanding self is probably more challenging than it seems.

Also it seems that it is our nature that controls what we are and what we can do.

For instance, the story of the scorpion and the turtle: "scorpion requested turtle to hitch for a ride (on turtle's back) across a pond. Turtle said: "No, you will sting me dead, I know!" Scorpion said "No, if i do we'll both drown."

On middle of pond, scorpion stings turtle. Turtle said "why?! we will both die!"
Scorpion said: "It is my nature..."
