Which kind of doctor do you use for your kids, pediatrician or family physician?

I prefer a family doctor who knows all of us and is able to treat all of us, should something happen. She also knows our history, so she can be more observant of hereditary things.

We use a pediatrician (Medicaid demands it) and we are not happy. Pediatricians, who should know children best, seem to be the biggest advocators of treating all children like they're already invalids.

I feel as though as long as they know what they are doing and they do everything a ped. would do then go for it.... anything that is better for your child and your self is the best!!! GOOD LUCK!!

Luckily, our family physician is also a pediatrician so both.
