well i did some research and finally found out what is involved in the deep brain stimulation treatments my psychiatrist wants me to start considering for my depression.
They connect a couple neurotransmitters to the brain and then put a battery connected to wires into the chest that sends small electrical charges to the neurotransmitters throughout the day. I am really not to sure that i want to have that done, but they say they have had really good results with people who are unresponsive to medications and schock therapy treatments.
what do you guys think about it? is it worth any risks with the possibility to have your life back?

ooooh I am not sure I would do it, I do suffer from mild depression but in my case I can usually talk myself out of it as i won't go and talk to people about it...most times I can get myself back on track...but for severe depression maybe it is worth a try...

I would do some more research and maybe get a second opinion. Something this serious needs thought and consideration before going ahead. Maybe you could find someone else who's had it done and talk to them. That would be a great option.
