My fiance's wrist is swollen, he says he is in pain, but he won't let me take him to the hospital. He did this once before when he injured his neck, and it wasn't until his hands went numb that he let me take him to the hospital. I don't get it, if you think it is broken why not go to the hospital? Do you know anyone who is that way? Anyone have any idea how to get him to go to the hospital? I don't know what else to tell him.

Does your fiance have a doctor or hospital phobia? He's going to have to get over it, or stop getting catastrophic injuries. Call 911 and see what the EMS folks say. They can force him to go. Better than losing a hand.

I think its like a macho man thing. I don't know. I think that it is stupid, I don't care that he can with stand a lot of pain, you know. I'd rather see him get better.

If you need to scare him into going, tell him all about gangrene. There's nothing "unmacho" about going to the hospital for help. It is way less cool to get green rot and lose parts of your body from infection. Oh, or get deforming arthritis from mistreated breaks...

Do you have an elastic bandage there? wrap his wrist and keep it immobile.. i thin of he feels an intense pain he will go to the hospital by himself but for the meantime wrap his wrist and keep it immobile so as not to damage it nay further..you can let him take a pain reliever and if he doesn't want to drink medicine apply an ice pack to the area swollen it will help relieve the pain

Yeah we have had it wrapped, hopefully he will get over this whole not going to the hospital. lol. He'll hopefully go when he is in enough pain. It has been like this for a week now.
