Let's have a just-for-fun presidential election. From now until October 31st vote for either John McCain or Barack Obama. Vote by writing down one of their names when answering. Then whichever candidate has the most votes will be our "winner" and will be announced November 1st. It's just for fun. Vote!

Wow! This is an older post now!
Honestly 3 months ago I was saying I would either not vote or write in Ron Paul. But since then I have decided I HAVE to vote, I have done a lot of research, and have watched the debates--and have gotten comfortable with a candidate that I think is the best option, and actually I have really gained a lot of respect for him, and now his VP running mate.
I will be forgetting about partisan lines to vote for.... John McCain! Because I really believe that he cares about all Americans, and he has shown that he can work with democrats and republicans to get things done. I feel that we have had an extremely conservative president for 8 years, and that swinging to the exact opposite, extremely liberal is actually more of the same(but in the opposite direction). I fear that we will have another 4 years of nothing being done. Anyway, just stating my reasons, especially since I usually vote democrat, I feel I need to kind of justify the way I see it.
Most things in life require discipline and moderation, and this country is no exception, and extremes in any direction are usually either harmful to us or just get us nowhere. Anyway, just my $0.02, maybe more people will vote on this thread, that would be interesting! So far it looks tied! haha

Barack Obama.
(I'm happy to be able to vote in this election without being American. Thanks for the opportunity, lol!)
