I like the one that goes "don't u remember u told me u love me baby". I like the tune and the way it has different types of melodies and notes throughout it. Like the beginning that starts mysteriously with the "long ago.... " and the bit starting with "your guitar...", then the chorus is much louder and faster - it shows Karen's voice off really well.

I also like masquerade as it is quite mysterious.

Yup, it's sad that Karen Carpenter died so young - she was very talented.

I remember their songs, even the one that Richard sang - The Night has a thousand eyes'.

My favourite songs are Close to You, Rainy Days & Mondays, Masquerade, We Only Just Begin and Hurting Each Other.

I can't pick just one favorite. I can't think of one that I don't like. They had so many amazing pop songs.
If I had to choose I guess I'd say Rainy Days & Mondays or maybe Close To You. My mom had one of their greatest hits cd's and I loved pretty much all of the stuff on it.

it has to be rainy days and mondays. this song and old memories perfectly go together. it's nostalgia in a song. lately i've been playing superstar , the sonic youth cover.

Carpenters.. the band that never dies. They are really a great bunch of people and their songs are just so nice to listen to, and the best part of it, their songs do have meanings to them!

I love the song "Top of the World". It's like one of my most favourite song on my list, and I used to learn the guitar chords just because I like the song! Why I like this particular song is because I could relate to it with what I was experiencing through about 2 years ago. And that is when I was in a relationship that I thought that I was very happy in. And thus it just simply feels that I had found the one, and I am like on 'the top of the world'. So, it sorts of speak out my inner feelings.

Although I am no longer with that particular guy, this song still holds a special place in my heart and it still remains one of the songs that I love, and the song that I could remember at the tip of my tongue!

oh mostly of the carpenter's song are good to me but the most i like is the " top of the world" i really like singing it all the time as if i am able to say it word for word lol

My favorite song is "Rainy Days And Mondays". Anybody who has ever suffered from depression will understand why. ;(

carpenters songs that I like is "A Song For You." The melody is very simple and touching the heart. Especially in mid-song with saxophone, really make me feel fly. Carpenters known with great songs that mellow.
