If you are going to kill yourself....

if i was going to suicide at all thats for sure that i wouldnt care about other people, for me most valuable thing in the world for a men or women is himself/herself so if he/she decided to suicide its normal not to care others around him/her and if we come to the suicide style for me the best suicide style is to take pills and die in your sleep because its not painful at all really good suicide style for me

Unfortunately, if a person is ready to commit suicide, they have probably lost any idea of value for life. They probably didn't even think of the on coming car as "people" in a car. They probably just thought about the car as a tool to commit suicide. Plus, they probably wanted to make a statement to somebody. They wanted it to make headlines. I think it isn't unusual that a suicide victim is trying to make someone else feel their pain when choosing how to do it. I think when a person takes their own life by swallowing pills or efixiating themselves, it is because they have lost all hope and no longer believe in themselves. But when they make a dramatic statement by doing something very public, they are angry with someone and want them to feel the pain of their death. These are just my opinions.

hello friend. i understand how disturbing news you have got. But a person who is mentally so low that he can kill himself, may have a respect for others life. Infact, suicide is a disease. And like any other sick person, he is too under tremendous stress. I'm not supporting that fellow. But it is unfortunate that some one like got a disease which is incidently called mental illness. Most important thing is that, he didn't develop mental sickness all on a sudden. But like other diseases, it gradually worsened. The fault is that his relatives failed to understand his mental change. If they could, they might take him to doctor. Like other patients, they too deserved to be treated. What that guy has done, certainly no one can appreciate, but we have to realize that he did it because of his illness. he failed to control his emotions. Its the disease that needs to be blamed, not that person.

The trouble with a person who wishes to die...they do not think of the others or how it will impact them. None of that stuff is on there mind, they are not capable of caring at that point. Its sad but so very true.

I have had 2 family members take there own lives. My nephew was the first. At over 6 foot tall he hung himself from the rod in closet. My other nephew(his brother and his pregnant girlfriend were in the next room. His brother was the one that managed to break the door down to see his brother with a broken neck hanging in the closet.

My sister in law took a gun and blew her brains out. She knew that her best friend would be the one to find her. By the way she left behind a young daughter to boot.

People in that state of mind do not think. They simply know that they hurt and want the pain to stop. Whatever method they need to use...that is what they do. But once they make the decision to die...chances are that they will do it.

Sorry but suicide is not in anyway considerate. It shows none before the act and certainly none after the act.

It's hard to consider that if your own life is that unimportant to you that you would care about anyone else's life, BUT...I was suicidal for almost 3 years; it's not really a miracle that I'm still alive; I was considering that I didn't want to put the burden on my family of having to pay for the funeral, buy the casket, the plot at the graveyard and all that. What saved me from suicide was I WAS TOO POOR TO DO IT INDEPENDENTLY! Strange but true. However, I never would have endangered anyone else, because I felt I had nothing to live for; I didn't want to harm anyone else just to ease my own pain. The suicidal mind is often not logical; some would say "of course not if they're thinking of killing them self!" But there can be logical reasons for suicide, as bizarre of a statement as that may seem to most people. I'm going to go way off topic if I keep rambling, so I'll stop now with the statement that it was my life I wanted to end, not anyone else's.

I couldnt agree more, its awful when anyone feels the need to commit suicide but they leave enough hurt and misery behind them with their own familys they shouldnt spread that misery to innocent bystanders.

This is so sad! Obviously that person needs help, because he is harmful to himself and others. There is no nice or considerate about suicide. After all everyone is a son, or daughter, father or mother, or a friend. Someone will miss both people involved in the accident.

Hi whywiki, As you say the best idea is not to do it at all. Most people who commit suicide are not thinking right in the first place, so maybe it's difficult for them to realize what they are doing to others as well. Leaving a note is such a good idea too but not everyone have it figured out that far. I knew a young man who committed suicide about three years ago. Before shooting himself he shot and killed a friend that was with him in the house at the time. I knew this young man and liked him as he was a very caring individual. He had many friends and was well liked, not into drugs and only a social drinker. His mother searched for days, thinking that he must have left a note. I have no idea what happened but something must have snapped in his brain. He was never a person to hurt anyone. In the news story that you were reading, maybe something similar happened. I guess we will never know, but I agree if anyone feels they have to do it, go somewhere where you'll be alone. Blessings.

I have a friend who discovered her boss' body when he shot himself. He had gone outside to do it, but she was messed up for years because of it.

This is something that always makes me so angry. I totally agree with you, why take innocent people with them, if they want to die then go die, on their own. I read stories so often or hear them on the news of one parent killing themself and their children and leaving the other parent behind. Recently I heard of a girl who killed herself and her little boy, reason for doing it, spite because her ex had found another woman and this was her revenge.
