I read the news this morning and again another countries culture has me shocked. Did you know in China the believe "If you're not good-looking, no matter how well you sing, you'll not be onstage." WHAT!!! How Ridiculous!!!
A little girl and her song that captivated millions of viewers during the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics Games. However what they saw was not what they heard, the girl lip-synced the entire song for the origanals girl is not pretty enough for the stage.......
What is true beauty?? What one person thinks is beautiful and unflawed can be different to someone else.. What your opinion?

I have read the news this morning about this girl using not her real voice during the opening of the olympics. i got curious and finished the whole news article. i felt sad for the one who really owns the voice. she has a very pretty voice and has a very nic talent. she should have been given the chance to be on that stage and show who she really is and what she can really do.
for me, true beauty is deep within. no matter how we look like, we should be given the chance to share our talents.

oh thats very typical of china in my opinion. dont forget this is the country that treats little girls poorly. china is very much in favour of letting little baby girls be adopted out of the country (my hubby's sister and her hubby have adopted two) but the only way they let boys be adopted is if they have an illness or what not.

I can't believe that someone would do that. Can you imagine how bad the little girl feels that wasn't allowed to sing. It would be devestating. I think that China should be ashamed of themselves. It shouldn't matter what the little girl looked like, it should be about her talent. I hope the little girl has good moral support at home and doesn't take the ignorance of others to heart.

That culture is unfair. Sometimes we have different taste when it comes to beauty. What are there standards may I ask?.I find it very unfair since some is not given a beautiful but they have beautiful talents like they can sing, dance and act. How about that? this is unfair.
