This was a big issue here as a lot of people were to busy on their cell phone to watch where they were going. I am not sure if they passed it yet but, if you are under 18 you are not allowed to talk on your cell while driving. I honestly think this might help a little but, I noticed it is not just 18 and under that do not pay attention.
What do you guys think?

Hey Kat,
MN did pass a law on August 1st saying that a person is not suppose to text on their cell phones well they are driving if caught it is a $300 and that the could loose their cell phone. and they also passed a law that teenager can only have so many passagers in the car and there is a couple more rules for the teenagers. I personally think that everyone should not be able to use their cell phones while they are driving. I do not use my phone well driving if it rings I will pull to the side of the road or have my passager answer it for me and if I have to make a call I pull over to the side of the road.

The law on the number of kids teens can have reminds me of a time when I was a teen. I had about 10 friends in my little 4 seater car. 3 of them were sitting in the trunk. A cop saw us and laughed. Being girls, we got away with a lot. Those were during my naughty wild days. Wild for the 70's. I would never even attempt that now. NO seatbelt = NO moving.

Yes they sure did. which is just great. I wish more people would not use their cell phones at all when they were drive. the other day I was driving down the road and this person was talking on their cell and they started to get really close to my car with their car.

Over here you are banned from using your mobile while driving. You have to use hands free. i think its a bit unfair that this law only applies to under 18s. As you say it is not just them that do it. Why should young people get singled out? What if someone over 18 was using their mobile while driving a caused a crash or hit someone? It would be like the saying the law could have helped prevent that if the person had been born a bit later.

i think and i demand the goverment to give a test to see if the person is capable of driving talking on the cell while dangerous driving conditions...if they pass the test there would be a part on the licence where it say so.
there problem solved!!!!....LOL!!

Still some things cannot be done at the same time...especially when driving and cellphones are not exempted. Follow the rules and you'll be safe.
