Travel Must haves

When you are traveling domestic or abroad whether for a short trip or a long vacation there are certain things that you always need to carry or that you can't be away from.What are your personal travel must-haves and what is the story behind it?
Well, as for me i always have my laptop, shower kit, my most comfy pjs, a small pillow , pen and a little notebook ..

I must always have my contact lenses otherwise I wouldn't be able to see very much at all. I have to have my preferred toothpaste if I am going on a trip of up to one month, obviously that isn't possible on an extended trip. I think it is important for me to have a notepad and pen for jotting down things whilst traveling. I wouldn't like to forget to bring my swimming costume and my nightdress. I always carry my valuables in my money belt. I take my sunglasses if I go to a hot country or my coat if I go to a cold country.
