Is English your second language? A Mylot forum in your own language?

Mylot is now slowly but surely growing and expanding as numerous new users are added everyday. In no time at all, it will be a forum to beat and can even surpass the big existing forum in the internet. Are you in favor of Mylot establishing a site that specifically uses your own language? Are you in favor of a per country MyLot site which could be merged with the mother site anytime you want?

There are some people who prefers to use their own language to communicate. Although it limits interaction to people who can only speak that language, there is still a potential that it will be well received,a s they are more comfortable speaking in their own language.

English is my first language, but I would like to answer your question. I think it would not be a good idea for different countries to have their own myLot sites. Even if the sites could be merged, it would limit the number of people responding to discussions, as many people would only view discussions in their own language, and other language speakers would be prevented from adding a response. It would mean less interaction, and fewer new friendships, between people of different nations and cultures. I do understand that it is more difficult for some to write in English, but if the meaning of the post is clear, and it can be easily understood, it does not have to be written in perfect English.

I have to agree - you have a salient point there. But I wish all mylotters would think like you. There was one discussion and it was complaining about how bad the English of one user was. We should understand that not all are good in English as this is not their native tongue. If we speak their native tongue I'm sure we can't do half as much as he did in English. Thanks for that significant input.

It's better if Mylot stayed like it is right now. You reach a bigger audience when all is in one site and one language. And the more people you reach, the more you will be able to earn here too. Have a nice day
