Is technology growing too fast?

I am a music lover. I have lots of collections of tapes on music albums. Then came the audio CDs and i started collecting in CDs. Sooner we have the DVDs and DVD players in market and the collection focuses on DVDs. Now the MP3 players, schuffle, iPod, Mobiles with music, MP4 player, and the list goes on.
Where are we heading? What will happen to all that i collected. Some times i feel that the technology is growing too fast that i had to waste lots of money collecting these useful music albums and then later have to convert them to different forms.
Do you feel so?

I think with all the technology, thrust of each organization for efficiency, and the corporations' thrust to get more and more money thru innovations and productions, we are not seeing any slow down from this technological evolve.
Is it growing too fast? it will depend on the need. I may need faster and faster processor for my business and may feel that technological improvement is a little too slow... or if i am just at home and has no need of new things now, i may see it too fast.
One thing is for sure - change is inevitable.
Hopefully changes that are ocurring will not negatively impact humanity in the long run.

Yup,Technology growing very fast nowadays.But,we shuld also adapt with It.we can't say it as money wastage.We shuld change our selves with the changes of the world around us.

Hi dear friend, I agree with you about that technology these days is growing as fast as we can't follow it, because when you buy something new you discover that something new will go out and the one you got will be an old fashion, but the good thing is the new stuffs that they produce can be able to work with the old one you have.

You are right...technology is moving at very fast pace...
Not only in the field you are interested , but many others.Some , after purchasing a certain thing , you start reading its user's manual. Even before you have finished , you may get the newa , of new version in market...

Yeah, its growing pretty quickly but not as quick as we assume as it is. It is only going to grow quicker and quicker. Before you know it, we will be living like the Jetsons. =p
