Have You Ever Used A Product That Paid For Itself?

A blogger recently stated that a successful product is one that sellers can convince buyers that the product will pay for itself. An example: Between my wife and I, we could spend an hour to two hours each day washing dishes. This is time that we could not spend with our children. So we decided to purchase a dishwasher. The dishwasher takes fifteen minutes to load and start, so we save at least forty-five minutes of our time each day by having and using our dishwasher. The dishwasher pays dividends for us in time, which makes it worth the expense. Have you ever used a product (similar or different) that paid for itself?
