I just bought this game (settlers - heritage of kings) of eBay and paid for it already. Stupid me forgot to ask if it works under windows vista. Does anybody on here knows?

Hello there,

According to Amazon in the UK, the game that you have mentioned does not work with Windows Vista. The latest version, Rise of the Empire, does! That's been one of the biggest problems with Windows Vista: compatibility with older games (older games: read as pre 2006!). It's a pain in the backside, and is one of the reasons I don't like Windows Vista.

You might, however, be able to run the game in Vista by using Vista's compatibility mode. This basically fools Vista into thinking that it is actually running a compatible program. Check out the below link to find out how to do this.

damn, i only realised it too late that i had vista on my home computer. thanks for the tip and lets see if it works..
