Do you own things, toys, etc. that you still have since you were a child?

I do. A porcelain doll which my grandma bought when I was still a kid. It stays intact still in its container and named Tammy. It lasted this long because I seldom play with it when I was young since its very delicate and my mother sorta locked it on a show cabinet. Up to this day, I still caress it sometimes and have nobody to give it to since I only have one child and is a boy.

I always wanted to have that kind of antique porcelain doll like yours.. I sometimes asked my mom where did all your dolls go? and usually gave me a shrug and adds its so long that she already forgot if she really have one.. the most oldest stuff I have is a hair clip from my chinese grandmother, the hairclip is just made of plastic but it has a rare design more like chinese.. I still have most of my toys kept inside the cabinets in my room, but my most treasured are my two barbies, their clothes and shoes, a barbie dresser, my polly pockets, my crystal princess globe, a musical sewing kit, a pink doll house with drawers, a puff the magic dragon mini toy, and old stationeries..

That's why Tammy is so precious to me. Well maybe if you will be my age and you have something so rare also that you've kept then maybe they will be valuable also. I heard Barbies are getting rare also if you collect 'em. Hope you will also have fond memories like me of how your childhood was spent. Keep a piece of memory with you not only in your heart but also from a thing in the past.

My daughter has all of my old My Little Ponies - about 40 total. My mom still has a lot of my old Barbie stuff - a house and dolls. Oh, and Micro Machines! Anyone else remember those? My son has a few of my old ones, my mom has the rest still. I probably have quite a bit of stuff from my childhood - but the ponies are the most special to me, and I'm SO glad to be able to share them with my little girl.

I still have the teddy bear my father gave to me the day I was born. Orginally it had a music box in it and you could wind up the teddy to play it. Over the years that gave out and so did his neck after I hugged it too many times as a child. My mother sewed it back on and let's just say it is definitely been worn, but still looking good for a 31 year old teddy. Years ago I placed him away with stuff so I would not lose him and I do not plan on ever giving him to anyone, I know it sounds selfish not even my kids when I have them. I'll buy them their own when they are born. I plan on keeping teddy with me forever. In my baby pics it is funny because he is bigger than me and he is a small bear people haha I was a little one.

Me too I won't be giving away Tammy even if I don't have girl. It's as if I will be loosing a part of me if I will give away that doll.
