By limiting the viewer’s choices of events and teams, how can brotherhood among nations prevail at the games? The focus of the games should be the various options for competition. In this way the Games could demonstrate the strengths and weaknesses of each country. We only observe events where the United States performs well, and this may prove detrimental to the role of sport in the world.

I can assure you that Great Britain are definately competing and have won several gold medals already. It is very wrong of them to be so biased about what you view on television. It would make me not want to watch!!

Unfortunately, here in the US we are limited on network television (more or less) to gymnastics, swimming and track and field, events where we win a lot of gold medals! A Brazilian friend of mine said that she was disappointed because of the lack of events and countries...And yes, it makes it so that you don't want to watch (plus we don't have cable...!) | | | |

| |  I agree with you, but who should shoulder the blame. Look at how USA blocked the live running of the performance of the Jamaican team. Jamaican living in the USA got up to date results from other feed and by telephone. I think it is a D--- shame.
