I have been there to Abu Dhabi. And it is true that accommodation there is one big problem of overseas workers. You have to rent for a half year or the whole year. But if it is going to be your first time, your employer from Abu Dhabi will give you free accommodation for 2 or 3 months, it depends to your employer. And it is also depends on what job you are going to have there. Your employer will give you time to look for your own accommodation. And since you have friends there, you can ask them if you can share one bed with them just to have a place to stay and to save a little money. In my case, I worked there in Abu Dhabi as a singer, and we are free accommodation, food and hotel. so It was never a problem when I was working there.

But there are many agencies here in the Philippines bound to Abu Dhabi and the accommodation is free.
