Friendship sometimes go through difficult times such as petty quarrels, misunderstandings, or just plain separation.
But how do you make up with an estranged friend? When I was in high school one of my friends got mad
with me because of a practical joke that I played on him. We did not speak to one another for about six years despite reconciliation attempts from mutual friends. Then, one time we were on the same committee for an activity and we just got into a conversation again as if nothing happened. I guess both of us were ready at that time to resume our friendship. Do you have any similar experiences? Do share.

Hi diutay,
I have not had quarrel with my friends who are sisters but we just grew apart when they got married and had children then moved away, they both know where I live and don't even bother to ring me when I used to I aways get I'll call you back as I am busy at the momen but they never do so I give up and stoped calling them, I got the message.

I've known my best friend for 40 years now and at onw time lost touch with her for about 8yrs as I got married and moved had children etc then one day I met up with her where I lived and she didn't live far from me, I used to go out with her elder brother then one day she said she knew someone who wanted to see me I thought and thought who could it be then all of a sudden one day her brother turned up on my doorstep..sparks flew and we ended going out with each other then one day we had to slit for personal reasons after that I wasn't allowed and couldn't have any contact with my friend or her family it took about 1yr before my friend and I got back together again but it was a really happy re-union bright blessings littleowl

for me, it all depends on the reason why we had an argument in the first place. if the reason is not so deep, we talk about the problem as early as possible so we can resolve the situation at once. but if the hurt is so deep, there are times when i don't feel like talking to them. it will mostly take years before i am able to reconciliate with them. however, even if reconciliation is done, the friendship won't be anymore as strong as before.
