Taking surveys for money

Hi all, to me most of the sites I have run across to take surveys for money all they do is ask for way too much personal information. For instance, a survey may say it is regarding movies and really all they ask you is how much money you make, your age, where you live, etc. I think this is ridiculous, and I do not want to share this information online. Do they want your opinion or just your personal information. Does anyone have any experience with any sites that are genuine, actually want your opinion instead of just a lot of personal information?
