Bridal bouquet

Each bride has her own preference of the colors that would be the motif for her wedding and the bouquet of flowers that she would carry. I personally love blue and had our wedding in this motif. However, I didn't want to see everything in blue because my groom and I had some accents of blue on our outfits. And blue flowers are hard to find. I therefore asked for yellow roses on my bouquet and some chrysanthemums to add a spring of freshness.
I did hear that some brides asked our flower supplier to dye the flowers to the color they want to achieve a full force of the same color on their wedding day.
What are your views on this? What was the color of your flowers?
I've attached my photo on my wedding day for you to see the flowers ;O) Aren't they beautiful?

Wow you are very beautiful! My fiance and I have not yet had our wedding, as I believe you know since I do believe I responded to you or you to me. We are thinking of maybe having brown and blue as that was suggested by one of our friends who is also to be married soon. We are going to have ours in a certain theme therefore my wedding dress won't really be a dress. The theme is western, so brown and blue do seem to suit what the theme will be. I haven't found anything yet, but we are thinking of using fake flowers because they will be easier and cheaper.

That's nice of you to say that. Yes, I think I responded to one of your threads. I haven't seen a wedding with the bride not wearing a gown yet but that would be nice.

I hope so. The western theme does allow dresses, but those are more "westerny" or rather an older style and may very well be itchy. My fiance does not mind that I am not wearing a dress and would honestly rather me not as he feels that it would not do the theme any justice. I appreciate the comment! When we have the wedding I am sure we will be posting photos here.

I am having carnations in my up coming wedding and the flowers will be blue and white. With a couple of orange ones. I really like the picture of your bouquet. My mother is dyeing all the flowers for me. We are doing the flowers ourself the night before. Happy MyLotting!!

first of all you look beautiful ,
i did alot of weddings as my job is related to wedding, i have come across many clients with different wishes. this are a few common combinations that i worked on, white & red, champagne & blue , champagne & lilac, champagne only, red only .. Certain cultures do not allow white so we replace with the off white which is the champagne ..
for the blue and lilac , we have to sock the flower in food colour, then it will show on the flower..
for my wedding reception i used white and red and I was dressed in red saree ...

Oh, so that is how they dye the flowers. Good piece of information.
My sister-in-law's motif was pink and she gathered all the pink roses from a flower shoppe ;O)

first, i wanna compliment how lovely you were in your wedding day.
i love flowers in general but tulips & roses were my favorite. i wanted my wedding to be filled with tulips but its a pretty expensice flower to we just settled for roses. i had red rosed for my bouquet and it was so lovely.

That's really nice of you to say that ;O) I loved tulips when I was a kid but since it does not grow here it is very very expensive. The price of one stem is almost equal to the whole bouquet plus the bride's maids' and sponsors' bouquets and therefore not practical for me ;o)
Roses are always nice and I love the yellow roses on bouquet, too.
