Does Original Inks Assure of Printer Longevity?

I don't worry about its price. What I matter is that if I will use original inks constantly, I will have nothing to worry that my printhead will not be damaged provided with proper maintenance. Also, is it possible for a printer to go at least 5 years when using original inks?

You're right about that but if your printer last say 5 years you could have bought at least another printer with the money you've spend for original ink. Printers are now considered disposable and the quality of refill ink these days are at par with original ones. It would be a good idea to use original ink while the printer is under warranty else use refills.
