The Castle came out a few years ago (1997) now so it is on dvd.
It is a send up of Australian culture and is quite funny. It is about a family that have lived in a house for a long time, and there is a saying that his home is his castle.
They live near an airport which they don't mind and film brings up many relevant things to Australians such as land rights.
The film was made for $500,000 but made over $10,000,000 at the box office. It was shot in only 11 days.
It was Eric Bana's first film (from the Hulk).
There was an American version released where they changed some things such as rissoles became meatloaf and brands of cars were changed from Aussie Icons to American icons.
If you do see it, remember that this is a send up and some Australians might do somethings like this, but not many of us would be quite this Australian - but we can laugh at it.
