How soon does our family prepare for weather desasters?

I always try to keep stock of non perishable foods, batteries, coals, lighter fluids, lighters, gas, water and paper goods. You just can never know when a hurricane will come your way and you have time to shop. The shelves are bare of all necessary items when you go the last minute. Or, you run the risk of overly increased prices.

We do not have hurricanes but just storms. We always make sure we have extra batteries and a lot of food stocked up. People in our country loves to panic buy even if there is nothing to panic about! LOL!

Hi Jammy, I'm one of those who rather be over prepared than not prepared at all. I still have batteries from when FL was hit by the 3 hurricanes. (LOL). I was without power for 5 days. A whole lot of grilling was going on.

Hi I live in the UK so we are not prone to hurricanes or extreme weather but I do have a provisions cupboard, some of my friends laugh at me but where will they come if anything did happen eh! Yes to me. I have dried egg powder, powdered and tinned potatoes, dried fruits, dried milk and lots of tinned foods, candles, botled water etc. just in case. If I ever need to use something I will replenmish. In fact recently we did have some bad storms and were adviced not to travel as there were a lots of roads flooded and I didn't have to worry about going out to the shops at all as everything was here. Ellie :D

Hello Ellie! You are right, as soon as they are caught unprepared, you will be the supply source. Only takes 1 time to get caught unprepared. You'll be over prepared after that.
