Anyone attempting to learn ASL??

Wow,we were discussing this on a post just the other day
I have picked up a bit of signing over the last few years,but Im not really good at it
I can sometimes sense the deaf persons frustration at my mis understanding,or my bad signing

I know a few signs, but I'm still have a long way to go, although in my own defense, I am usually able to get across what I'm trying to communicate.

i also want to learn that skill. I used to have a classmate in a review school, she's deaf so she always have with her an interpreter. Sometimes the class is distracted coz we can't help but sneak a glance to see if she gets what the professors are saying specially if its a joke or something... Well i guess, it really works coz she's laughing. It did motivate me to learn that skill but i don't know any school offering the service. If i learn it, i'd definitely volunteer and offer my service for free.

I was having a hard time too, you need to do it nearly everyday, if not everyday. you MUST make deaf friends, its very challenging but its the only way. You need to dedicate yourself to it.
