When Your Baby Is Sick....

Last night I wasn't able to sleep because Angel, our youngest, became so restless in her sleep and oftentimes even cried. I had to attend to her because i already had the suspicion that she's not feeling okay. I rose from bed at exactly 3:30 to prepare everything for the mornings ordeal of household chores. When I was done cooking breakfast and setting the table, Angel woke up crying. She is feverish and I was alarmed. When she gets sick she really scares me because of that traumatic experience we had with her last March, she had fever and two days after, she was diagnosed with the deadly dengue fever..thanks God for the blessing of recovery and good health a week after. I really feel so down today because Angel is sick and the fever is quite high. I just can't be absent from my work because of so many things to do and to finish so I have to bring her with me in the office. I thank the Lord for the gift of a good employer because he has been so considerate and kind to us allowing us to bring kids in the office as long as they won't hamper the accomplishment of our tasks. I Thank you Friends for reading my discussion today as you've always been a part of my every day existence.I have to closely monitor Angel's fever because I am just scared of any complications that could have brought this illness upon her. I am so sad today but I am counting on the boundless love and mercy of God who is my tower of refuge and strength.

I am so sorry your little girl is sick. I totally understand though as a mother myself, how we worry when our little ones arent well. Especially if we are not sure of why its happening, or if there is little we can do to help them feel better. You are very fortunate with your employer as well, i have rarely heard of jobs that allow you to bring yoru child in..esp if they are sick...glad Angel recovered in a rather quick time.

You're absolutely right, it's just a very tough situation when a mother sees her child get sick--heart-breaking actually. Well I know and I firmly believe that God works miracles in many different ways, He will carry me through.... Thanks for responding and God bless!
