Improve yourself through seminar-workshop

I will be attending a three-day Seminar-Workshop regarding Records Management in Iloilo City next week. Everything has already been set, plane ticket, hotel accommodation and most especially, the budget as pocket money.
I am so excited about the seminar for I know that this will give me additional knowledge to improve my work and so as the functionality of our office. This will also boost my knowledge that I know, in some other task will enhance my self dealing with other people.
So dear friends and other mylotters, have you attended such kind of seminars? What was that seminar all about? If no, will you attend a seminar that will give you additional knowledge regarding your job or some new ideas to improve yourself?

I have already forgotten the last seminar or training that I have attended. My company is not that keen in giving their employees external trainings and seminar to further improve themselves. That's why I think that we are far left behind in regards to management and new production system.
I truly believe that attending seminars and trainings help us boost our knowledge and thinking, and improve something we have in us. I'm just so lucky that there's internet in the office where I could search for different topics to increase my knowledge about certain things.
You're so very lucky to have a 3 days out of town seminar, neildc!

I also believe that it's not only the knowledge that brings within the seminars, but also getting to some new places and meeting new friends.

Hi neildc,
[i]I always in the past..It was all about my field and truly it helps me a lot and made me realize that I can still improve myself in different areas!
but, it depends also with the speaker,,,sometimes, we find it chatting with friends by writing even if we are sitting to each other because it is very boring! LOL!
I love also the food during seminars..lol! Enjoy![/i]

i also remember, flowing coffee is always available in those seminars. so if we find it too boring the topic, we can always take a cup of coffee to keep us awake. LOL

i will as well whenever i have a chance to improve myself or enhancing my knowledge... i believe learning is a life long process and whenever i have the chance to do that, i will grab the opportunity... unfortunately, i don't have much chance to do that with my current job and position... you are very fortunate to be able to have the opportunity to learn something new and being paid by your company... good luck... take care and have a nice day...

i am really fortunate that i can be sent by the office to attend job-related seminars like these. one reason for that is, though our office is growing in terms of workload and personnel, i still remain the number one man to be sent there. whenever there are new assignments, new projects that the agency will have, i am also sent by the office as representative. unfortunately, with added workload, my salary and position were never been moved or updated.

Seminars, workshops trainings are very useful. It can really enhance one's knowledge and efficiency, I know you will benefit a lot friend so I understand your excitement. And beside the new environment and the new people you will meet will add up to the benefits.
Well I also have attended seminars and mostly are about leadership and good management. I need that for my position and I find those seminars really useful to my work.

Hi Neil,
Well done to you and hope that you will learn a lot of interesting in you field of work and that you will enjoy your trip, but don't gorget us will you? no I have never attended any seminar in my life but my husband has and now he is in very well paid job, he has bee in his job for eight years now so good luck to you with whatever you'r doing and come back soon.

Welcome to Iloilo City. I hope you will enjoy our city. It might not be so big but the people are friendly. You can try our native foods like batchoy, pancit molo, biscocho and such. But of course, in your case, the fact that you'll get the opportunity to learn is the best thing.
I love attending seminars and workshops. I've been to seminars and trainings on leadership, gender issues, voluntarism, resource generation, project planning, etc. It is very useful not only in the workplace but also in my personal life. Good luck and enjoy.

i know a lot of iloilo's best and have a taste of them before, i love them all. i also been there before but i have no time to explore the city. i been there in the early 90's for only a day of work, without even experiencing the night life, lol. this time, my second time, will be much more different from my first visit.

good Luck for your 3 days seminar for work neildc and it is really good for you and quite add more knowledge with you work to experience and theory is also one of the good combination because I also encounter such things in my work place when they will send me to another Country, i always grabbed the opportunity for it will only knock once.......

I don't think I will need it.
