how to disinfect foundation without throwing it away of course?

well, i hear that cosmetic foundations is the best home for bacteria that's why we sometimes scratch our faces an hour after we apply it. so can someone help me how to disinfect this *gadget* so that it can still be used again, safely...

There is no way to disinfect it. Thats why its best to use clean applicators when applying it, or to make sure your hands were washed before touching it. This goes for mascara too. They recommend that you replace your cosmetics about every 6 months to avoid this problem and infections.
