I can't sleep!!!  |

I have had insomnia for years now. I just can't get myself to fall asleep! However, once I get to sleep I don't have a problem staying asleep. On my days off, I usually sleep in 'til noon. I usually get to bed at 3am no matter what time I have to get up the next morning. It sucks. Do you know any tricks to falling asleep besides pills? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

3. scorpiobabes (1294) | 3 months ago | I suffer from an inability to sleep through the night. Basically I'll sleep until 2 or 3, wake to use the bathroom, only to be unable to go back to sleep! I have been running a fan for an hour, and the white noise helps me to sleep. Perhaps you could invest in a white noise machine?

4. jasmine0728 (385) | 3 months ago | I have a great deal of difficulty falling asleep,I get restless legs to.My other problem is once I fall asleep I sleep for one hour,I can set by watch by this then I wake up and have an awful time falling back to sleep.I am lucky if I get three or four hours of broken sleep at night.I can't remember the last time I slept for more then one hour at a time.My counselor wants me to go for a sleep study yet that makes me nervous for some reason.I get a knot in my stomach when I consider sleeping for four hours or more,and I hate the thought of trying to sleep before 1 in the morning.
