I'm In The Mood For Fall...

With August almost over, I'm getting more and more excited about the approaching of fall. Fall into winter is my favorite time of the year and when the heat gets to me, I begin to long for the coolness of fall. And, I start longing to watch favorite old movies that get me in the mood for fall. One of those films is "Meet Me In St. Louis" with Judy Garland and Margaret O'Brien. I've loved this movie since I was a little girl and every year about this time, I pull it out and watch it again. Sometimes I watch it again during the Christmas season as well but it sort of prepares my senses for the coming seasons. I turned on the movie a few minutes and plan to bask in the music and the simpleness of the film.
So, do you have any little things you do to get yourself ready for fall and the holidays?

I'm about ready for fall myself. I'm getting really tired of the heat. I can't stand heat too well so I'm ready for the seasons to start changing so we can have cooler days and hopefully cooler nights. I don't really do anything to prepare myself for the seasons. I would like to take on a more active role in decorating for the seasons though. I do try to decorate for Halloween and stuff though.

I love to decorate, too. I don't celebrate Halloween but I love to put up decorations for autumn and then for Christmas.

im so ready ready for summer to be over with. we get all the fall clothes out of the basement and ready. and all the fall decorations out of storage and put them up, my kids love to decorate. i just love fall it is my favorite season of all. and soon it will be getting cooler thats something to look foawrd too.

I love to decorate as well but since I've been living in a one room place for the past seven and a half years, I haven't had the opportunity to decorate since I have 13 cats and boxes floor to ceiling against the walls. I'm ready to get out of this place so I can decorate again.

I am not necessarily ready for fall - we really don't get much of a fall here - but I am ready for Halloween. Last week I went in Michael's and was all excited to see the Halloween items they have out.
