Throwing parties or going to one

I love throwing parties although it involves lots of planning. Food-(small eats, main course, dessert), drinks, kids,decoration, cutlery,etc... a number of things have to be looked into but I still love to be the host. Having people at my place, serving good food and being appreciated, entertaining guests is what I have always preferred more that being a guest. What do you prefer more; Throwing a party or going to one....
