I started my girls out when they were young watching this, in my lap because of the witch.
Every once in a while they want to watch it, which is fine by me.
I actually found somewhere, in my travels, a book called "The Making of the Wizard of Oz". It is a slow read because it gets down to the nitty gritty but it is a very good book. I am still really in the beginning because they are still casting members for the movie.

When my son was small, we watched this movie together. It used to be on once a year at about the same time each year. The same when I was small.
Now, I'm not sure when it is broadcast or if it is broadcast all the time, since we have so many TV channels now. Come to think of it, I really don't notice it being on when I'm channel surfing.
Anyway, glad your girls enjoy this film. I was unaware of the book, "The Making of the Wizard of Oz," but I bet it's interesting.

| |  Hi, Wizard of Oz is one of my favorite movies but I'm not wanting my kids to see it yet. They would be too scared of the witches. When they are a bit older we will sit down and watch it as a family.
