I hope everyone had a great Sunday!
Although my Sunday started out to be a good, cool day thanks to Tropical Storm Fay, it didn't pay off to stay that way :(.
My kitchen sink backed up on us. We poured bleach down the drain and it did NOTHING!
It finally went down, but it was a very slow drain and I mean about 2 hours slow drain!
Hubby broke the plunger trying to plunger it to go down. lol That was funny, I have never seen anyone break one before. lol So we called the landlord and he got a plumber to come out and fix it for us.
WOO HOO we have a very nice and wonderful landlord. Where we lived at before, we'd have been waiting til today for a plumber!
Anyway, it was a bunch of muck clogging it up. Muck is soaps, dish detergents, etc that build up in the pipes. The plumber told us to treat the pipes every month, but to start with every 2 weeks for the first 2 months with anything that has enzines in it and you can find it at Home Depot. So that is on my shopping list. lol
Total cost was $209!

Wow. $209 just to fix the pipes. What did he tell you to put down your drain? We always use baking soda an white vinegar.
Sunday was yesterday, right? Nothing too fun happened around here, pretty quiet actually. I just ran out to the store and picked up some stuff for dinner. My Mom had told us that we may get some hard rain which normally means we loose power. So I always go out and buy one of those Rotisserie chickens JC (for about $5 they are an awesome deal anyway).

Sorry to hear he has the flu. I hope he is feeling better now.
It's nice to spend time like that. My hubby and I do that. We cook together sometimes like last night we had Chicken, rice, gravy and veggie. He did the chicken and I did the rest.
I love spending time like that.

It was just horrible. from very early morning there was crisis at home. by brother who stays in different city called us to tell his infant son( 5 months old) is taken to Hospital emergency. It was horrible and we were scared, tensed. then this continued whole day when we wanted to learn how is he. He is little better but still is in hospital

Yes I was very happy that the landlord got a plumber out the same day.
Nice to have a day to yourself sometimes. Good that you did that.

Sorry to hear your unfortunate incident. As for myself i have quite a normal sunday where i go to church in the morning with my boyfriend and then later on meet up with some college friends over coffee. The meet up was great to update each other and add in some gossips. After that, i went back and cook a simple meal while await for the closing ceremony of olympic with my boyfriend at home. Simple sunday but i enjoy it. hope you have a greater day ya!

Sorry to hear about your not-so-great Sunday with all those incidents coming up. Anyway, I had an okay Sunday, it would've been great and nice and peaceful cos it was my younger brother's 19th birthday so we had a little something cooked and I ordered 2 different cakes and mango bars but then my cousin and her 2 kids dropped by and my other cousin's wife and kid were also in our house for the weekend so that totaled up to 3 loud kids. I like kids and all but I don't really like them when they're all together running around the house with all the shouting and screaming and crying. That's what's happened ever time they visit us, that's why most of the day I just stayed in my room cos I really couldn't stand all the screaming and running around.

It was good in the morning but it got very boring in the afternoon. I watched the usual tv shows and of course I was annoyed by some celebrities on tv.
Well the only nice thing about my sunday is I got to rest a bit.

My Sunday was a solemn one. I just stay at our house and busy reviewing for the upcoming examination. After reviewing and eating a lot. I just take a bath and go to church for a afternoon mass. I went home to cook some dinner and continue reviewing for the exam.
