I have been reading and watching Jason Bournes sequels, and I found it very interesting. My husband just bought me the latest one "The Bourne Sanction". I have not started it yet, does somebody read this already ? Is it good ?

Jason Bourne is my favorite fictional character among the many that Robert Ludlum had created. Somehow, this skilled, confused assassin had grabbed hold of my interest ever since I've read The Bourne Identity. I find his character fascinating, deadly but compassionate, a killer and a good man wrapped together in the dichotomous identity of David Webb/Jason Bourne.
I've read and reread the original trilogy written by Robert Ludlum, The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Ultimatum and The Bourne Supremacy. Recently, I picked up The Bourne Legacy, the first of another trilogy written by Eric Von Lustbader, picking up where Robert Ludlum left off. I have to read it was a decent read and I was eager to know more about my favorite character, but the book is a pale comparison to the original. Furthermore, the timeline does not match, making Jason way in his sixties but still doing feats as if he was thirty.
I've also seen the movies, and though the one with Matt Damon was popular, I don't think it did justice to the real Jason Bourne character in print. The closest film version I can remember is the old one with Richard Chamberlain and Jacklyn Smith.
Well..I guess..based on my comment..you can say ..I'm a big Jason Bourne fan..LOL

you certainly are a big fan !! I have not even watched the film with Richard Chamberlain and jacklyn Smith. I got to find that movie the next time I visit blockbuster !!! Thank you for the information. The latest one The Bourne Betrayal is good. But I do agree with you that the film does not give justice to the real character in the book, and the twist and story were totally different ! O gosh, that is why I loved to read the book before I watched the movie. Enjoy reading.

Surely will let you how it is. I read the summary and looks like a totally new adventure and not a continuation of the rest of his story.

Hi melanie..
Iam a fanatic of Jason Bourne and i have read the Bourne Series, particularly Bourne Identity more than 20 times..Happy to take part in this discussion..I like the way he reacts, his lateral thinking, his fast paced actions and his human side. In Fact, Iam a die hard fan of Robert Ludlum and have started a discussion regarding this just now. In fact, i have many personal Mail ID's in Bourne's name..I love the character in such a way that Matt Damon became my favourite hero now superceding all my earlier favourites..
