Any Promising New TV Shows on the Horizon?

Over the weekend I got to see a preview of the new shows that will be debuting on the CW network. I've also seen previews of some other new shows on different networks. All in all I have to say that I am not exactly thrilled with most of the new prospects. The shows from this summer's season are about to come to an end(thank goodness), and there are only 2 or 3 new shows that look slightly interesting to me for the fall season. Fox's Fringe looks as though it might be interesting. I will also look forward to the new show starring Simon Baker on CBS. There's also one -the name escapes me- on the CW that I might like. Have you selected any new shows that you might find interesting to watch for the fall season? What are they?

I am going to tape Fringe when it starts and perhaps that Simon Baker show too. I also have Bones on tivo for the debut this week and will see how the show goes. It's being billed as a Tracy and Hepburn type of thing this year. I'm also taping The Starter Wife with Debra Messing. The first few episodes are on this week and I'll see if I like that for something light and a little different. I'm not real pleased with the season previews that I've seen.
I got into watching The Closer late this season and now tape that too.

Since I don't subscribe to any pay TV stations, whittby, most of my favorites are usually on the networks. As I said, it is a brand new season by now, and I have only found a couple of good shows to watch so far. For some reason it seems that the shows I like best don't stick around long, with the exception of Smallville and Supernatural.

I havent seen a good shows in a while. I dont think that anything that has been on lately is worth watching again. I have been forced to watch VH1. lol. I cant bare to watch that NEW YORK another minute. Let me know what you think about any new shows. I am willing to try anything at this point. dl

It's hard to believe that a whole year has passed since I posted this discussion, dloveli, and even worse that once again the new TV shows provide such slim pickings. I did become hooked on Fringe and established it as my new favorite. Sadly, as so often happens, the network has placed it opposite my other favorite show, Supernatural, this season. I guess I will have to be content to watch episodes of Fringe online now. My favorite new show of this season is The Vampire Diaries on the CW.
