why I hate...

hanging out at burger king sometimes.
While I was in the Philippines, my boyfriend and I go to Mall of Asia, you know, just to hang out, go to the arcade and eat. Although its a fast food place, Burger king is a good place to eat at. They have great tasting burgers for a really good price. But one thing I hate about going there, is when there's so much people and you have nowhere else to sit. Especially on those days you're actually craving for a whopper.
I know I am not the only customer being served by BURGER KING, it just irritates me when I see people who hang out there so that they could get an internet connection (WIFI) or watch TV, or charge their phones without even ordering anything or some people spend more time online than eating.
Maybe, BURGER KING should put up a table that says, for internet customers, separated from the dining customers.
One time an american customer was so pissed when he came to eat at a BURGER KING BRANCH in the Philippines. He was there to eat with his family, but they could not be seated because the dining area was filled with students who had their laptops, on every table with no food. I guess he complained to the manager and the manager asked these students to sit on one table that was good enough for them, when the manager did this, 5 tables were then vacant. See how much space these people occupied.
I'm not being mean or anything, but at least a little courtesy. When I went to burger king, I spent 4 hours there, because they were featuring the DREAM GIRLS, but during my 4 hours there with my friends, we constantly ordered food. At least people could see that we were dining while watching. Unlike those who just go there for the free show and internet. And when we didn't order anymore, we just stayed there for a few more minutes and left. But I guess its one of the features BURGER KING has to offer.
AM I being unfair/mean/selfish... or do I have a point...

I actually once saw a McDonalds in British Columbia, Canada, that had a thirty minute limit on tables, and that they were only for customers. I thought that was a great idea! I wonder if maybe Burger King should also have a rule like that.
You are not being unfair, mean, or selfish, and you really do have a point. It's very annoying and frustrating when you can't even find a place to sit to eat your food.

wow, that is a good idea. Maybe they should put up that rule, plus how can they reach their daily sales goal if they keep letting these things happen. Giving away free internet connection without them ordering. If this goes on, burger king might close down. But I don't think they would let that happen, HOPEFULLY!

I think it's a good idea especially when WiFi service is being offered. So not to waste some space. 30 minutes is enough for one to do everything. Or even one hour for the ones with free WiFi service.

Yes, I agree. Even one hour is long enough. I actually thought that the 30 minutes was kind of short. When I get into a good conversation with someone, it can take that long. If I owned a Burger King, I would set it at one hour, and have the tables only for customers.
Some people are just into getting freebies. But, a restaurant can't operate very well on giving away too much free stuff. At most places I go to, you have to buy something to get their free Wifi service or to even use their restrooms.
